Having fun, meeting your neighbors and making new friends is what living in the City of Fort Calhoun is all about. Throughout the year, the City of Fort Calhoun Parks and Recreation Departments offers a variety of programs to all our citizens. 

The Fort Calhoun Pavillion/Gazebo can be rented for private functions.

Parks & Trails in Fort Calhoun 

Fort Calhoun Baseball & Softball Fields 

Access to the Complex is on 12th Street (gravel) via Madison Street. The Complex runs from 12th Street to 8th Street and includes three playing fields, plus a number of other amenities. The T-ball field is adjacent to 12th street as you enter the Complex.

Fort Calhoun JC Field

JC Field is a local youth sports and ball field located at 103 S. 11th Street (near 11th and Monroe) in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. It is used for local baseball and softball league games and managed in coordination with the Fort Calhoun Youth Sports Organization. 

Adams Street Plaza Park (Splash Pad & Amphitheater)

Adams Street Plaza Park is a public community park located in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska (at 12th and Adams Street), featuring a family-friendly splash pad and an outdoor amphitheater. It serves as a local gathering space for seasonal outdoor events, live music, and summer cooling-off activities. Splash Pad is open from May - September from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

West Market Square Park

West Market Square Park is a small, tree-shaded public green space located at 15th and Monroe Street in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. Set near the heart of the city's historic downtown and local eateries, it features a distinctive decorative gazebo and serves as a quiet community landmark. 

Pioneer Park 

Pioneer Park is a local municipal park located at 8th and Monroe Street in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. Managed by the city, it features a community-built multipurpose recreational court with a basketball layout that easily converts into two pickleball courts. 

Fort Calhoun Elementary School Park

Fort Calhoun Elementary School Park is a public community park located at 11th and Adams Street in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, adjacent to the local elementary school. It features a neighborhood playground and a basketball court for student and public recreation. 

The Fort Calhoun Trail 

The Fort Calhoun Trail is a local municipal path and recreation project listed by the City of Fort Calhoun in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. It connects local community parks and green spaces within the historic town—the oldest incorporated town in Nebraska—situated near the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail and Fort Atkinson State Historical Park.
